Kickscammed

Tung Tran is a current student at Cal Poly Pomona. He is the creator of the KeyonPod Kickstarter scam. Currently he is non-communicative with his backers and has failed to deliver on a Nov 2013 ship date. There is some concern that a group of students may be opening fraudulent projects and posing as part of the manufacturing group Alloy Everything.

KeyonPod was mentioned by a Titanium vendor as “questionable”…
Alloy Everything address appears as several projects. I have received no replies regarding KeyonPod

This guy has been showing zero progress. No products finished 7 months after tripling and completing the goal. No products means no customers-just people without money, and without product.
Many of us have tried very hard to keep our faith in the product, hoping that it was just a delay, and that the months of nonexistent communication was just a personal issue to overcome. He had no excuses except that the machines were ‘broken’, and once ‘fixed’, left an update that stated there was a design flaw. Sure-that would have been fine if 900 needed to be redone, but it was something like 60 keyonpods- well really one side (half) that needed a redesign.
That redesign consisted of a piece of half circle 3d printed material glued on. That should have been it- but then he said the packaging that was supposed to be sent was not. That’s when businessmen usually source new materials through a different company, or demand for the problem to be fixed…though apparently there is no rush.
As of now, none of the aluminum or titanium keyonpods are confirmed to be finished products. He currently has had around 300 ‘units’ ‘ready to be started’ for months. These so-called units are in fact blank slabs of titanium for each side- not finished sides, to be clear.
From his one video, he has the cutters, the sandblaster, the tools needed-yet there is no proof there is any intention of producing anything. For all we know he is funding these to make gifts for his buddies.
Oh yeah, almost forgot…. He purposefully misspelled his company name. ‘Tesrand’ on Kickstarter, Tessand (support@tessrand.com) email, Tessrand on facebook and his site. Didn’t find that until after backing was completed and payment was sent.

Also I’m afraid the creator is not resident in USA. Once their study completed, they will just leave & return to their home country.
