This project was for pieces of laser cut leather and thread that could be sewn together to make a wallet. There was also an option for hand sewn wallets and custom cut wallets. The project was successfully funded November 30, 2013. Since then some wallets have shipped but through repeated delays there have been long gaps without communication. It’s been over 2 months without an update and we’ve blown past the expected delivery dates with no updates.
Project founder David Jackson seems to have washed his hands of the project and passed it over to someone named “Mary” but no further information was available. Seems like many funders won’t receive a wallet at all. Pre-orders were also taken on threadandleather.com but no updates have been provided on those either. Requests for refunds have gone unanswered.

It is Sept. 22nd, and there has not been any updates since July 15th.
David Jackson was out with the Wrap Wallet at the New York Maker Faire promoting and possibly selling a product it appears he has walked away from on Kickstarter. Also, there is another concern about how many people he has taken pre-orders from on his website that do not have a voice on Kickstarter not being kickstarter backers. Emails are not being answered on Kickstarter or through threadandleather.com.
