Creator: P.R. Brown, Los Angeles, California
Date funded: 3/15/2012
# backers: 336
Amount: $49,241
This project was funded on March 15, 2012. Shipment of rewards was promised three to six months later.
Two and a half years later, we are still waiting.
The only reason this got funded was PR Brown used his friend Nikki Sixx from Motley Crue as an extra in the film, and suckered hundreds of loyal Crue fans to support the film for that reason only. Sixx doesn’t give a shit about the duped fans, or wouldn’t he have said something about the project? He’s the one that lead us to the project via his Facebook/Twitter. He’s partly to blame for this in my opinion.
I am out $75 on this one, but others donated HUNDREDS of dollars with the promise of custom, autographed photograph prints of the band. No one has gotten anything, except a link to the unfinished film online. This was my first project to support on KS, otherwise I most likely would have never been to the site. I have backed other projects, and aside from the “EMBRACE +” debacle, I have gotten what I pledged for, eventually.
mechanicalengineer author: Backers signed up to help create a film by P.R. Brown called SHOOT’ER. While the film was produced many of the rewards were not or were badly damaged when they did come. Some of the rewards that were not delivered were: signed DVD, and HD DVD, t-shirts, posters, a DVD signed by the cast and crew, HD download of the film, and a PDF of the script.

PR Brown has a WIKI. Maybe we should add this campaign to his list of accomplishments?? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/P._R._Brown

Thank you for the quick response. I appreciate you keeping us informed.

Working on it. We’ll hopefully have them all back up soon. With the new design came some backend changes and the old replies were no longer compatible with the new system.

Not sure. Maybe the original posters took them down? My main post is still there.

What happened to the comments that were hear before? I no longer see them.

I pledged $300 for this project. I have been a HUGE fan of Motley Crue for 30 years, and Nikki is the ONLY reason I backed P.R.’s project.
It is also the ONLY project I have ever backed, and thanks to my experience with this one, I will NEVER back another.

I tried to get word to Nikki via his daughter Storm on Instagram, I used to follow her. I was polite and asked her to mention this problem to her dad, and she blocked me. Apparently, he doesn’t give a shit. He helped out his friend, screwed over a bunch of loyal fans, and he’s moved on.

Yeah, I was one of the suckers that spent hundreds on this, mainly only because Nikki endorsed it. Fortunately, it is the only Kickstarter project I’ve had issues with. All other projects have sent out the rewards promised. I would still love to get the autographed Motley Crue picture, but I am not holding my breath anymore.
