Moon Rift’s campaign ended on June 5, 2013, and the estimated completion date was November 2013. The project creator, Sam Hutcher, was very good about keeping in contact until October. His last update was on the 27th of that month, stating there were difficulties and asking permission from backers to use pre-created characters. There have been no updates since. The game’s website and backer forum have both expired.
Posts to the Kickstarter page, the Moon Rift FB ( http://www.fb.com/MoonRift ), and messages to Hutcher’s personal FB account http://www.fb.com/sam.hutcher have been met with no response.

To add, kickstarter have started they would try to get in touch , but that was months ago and no reply.
The kickstarter page will also expire soon as the dev has made no updates since october, and they consider this non-activity as a waste. Funny that they want to hide their failures, and only show successes.
He made 2k on top of the asking value, and wanted to change the game to make it easier to develop (use predefined animations etc), as well as changed the intial concept from 2.5d to 2d to make it easier on himself. Folks said that it was ok to do so, I was in the minority who said he shoudll deliver what we pledged for. Sadly no response, no contact, and the only community we have to keep the momentum up will be dead soon as kickstarter closes the page eventually.
Took the money and run was my suggestion back in January.
