Poor communication, constant delays (over a year), failed promises for delivery with lackluster excuses, and a lack of corporate representation (all communication from their “employees” come from personal GMail accounts) make this “project” smell a little fishy.
*Project update April 2015
Looks like they are trying to show people they have a north carolina facility, which is not true. They claim at the Michael Waltrip Racing building in Cornelius, NC. Parcel 00527304 they will be opening a facility (https://www.charlottestories.com/sprizzi-drink-co-soft-opening-their-100-million-cornelius-facility-this-week/?fbclid=IwAR31QG8uo5Ie66gODByCZuw-g9J6YvEx7-OlKwhjf4qWQjZ8iPUkqS8jfDQ) but it is still owned by MW ARC as it has since 2006 (https://www.mecknc.gov/TaxCollections/PTS/Pages/PTS.aspx). If it changed hands it would have reflected the tax change here. Just more smoke and mirrors. Also look at the picture on the news article, it is the same picture from Google Maps. Its crazy that they have not been reported to the SEC since they are now registered with them. (https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/1733226/000147793218003937/sprizzi_1a.htm)

I can’t believe they actually have fake people coming here and trying to defend these liars and scam artists. This product is a total fraud.
@Ryan , November 21, 2018
I almost forgot….
Sprizzi Global Canada Inc. is being (or rather, HAS BEEN) dissolved.
Also, for those social media police, Sprizzi has deleted ANY AND ALL responses they feel they do not have to respond to.
A few weeks ago, someone on Facebook asked about getting a Sprizzi unit. Some 25W Light Bulb from Sprizzi asked if it was for Home or Office. The person responded that it was for Home use. Nobody replied back after a month and they asked again. They received a big DELETE and most likely the BAN from Sprizzi.
THIS IS NOT FOR HOME USE ANY MORE!
@Johnny Maxwell , November 20, 2018
Very Unusual for Tom and his party to take a “quarter” of silence in defense of Sprizzi who has taken a WHOLE THIRD OF A YEAR OFF from making updates.
Very few machines have been given out and they were all given out to friends and neighbors of Sprizzi.
If I am not mistaken, all machines were supposed to be received by backer NLT the end of the year. Even though we are not there, no pulse from Mike and the Sprizzi team. How many promises have been broken.
For those counting about the free drinks every week since Sept Two Thousand Whatever…… Forget about it! SCAMMED!
@Johnny Maxwell , November 20, 2018
And which name am I hiding behind? Prior to the big Euro stink about privacy, I am one who did not like running around showing people what I was backing, so, yes, I did not use my real name there. The ‘hiding’ claim is just as funny as Sprizzi blaming me for hacking everything. Their e-mail, their KS account, etc. There was someone else that mentioned their deleted account…. or was that me also?
I could go on and on, but you should really look at how they did business in the past and how they are doing it now. They erased their Facebook history, they erased their KS profile info, they stopped communicating with backers and started revealing their future to other organizations first. I do, however, agree with the Sprizzi team that backers are just a drop in the bucket, and as such, treated accordingly.
Even though they do not post much anymore, there is still things to look back on. For instance, March 22nd, 2018 – “We should have the first mass produced run shipping by July in the US and % will ship globally as we have agreements with our Global Regional Partners to do so.”
They made updates in July and did not mention anything of value, except that they are working on a Sprizzi refrigerator.
It is great that those who visited here recently have their machines and were obviously used as a tool to post here, but one big question. If the machine is so great as you posted HERE, why not post about it everywhere? Seems odd that the company would not want to create public buzz about their wonderful machine. I understand there are maybe 20 people that have the machine, but to have no public posts about this 12th Wonder of the World yet several posts here bashing facts.
See you next update (or milestone)
@Johnny Maxwell , September 29, 2018
Thank you Tom for saying what I wanted to say! I have no idea what happened with Mr. Maxwell but everyone I have spoken with is thoroughly pleased with the direction Sprizzi has taken. I personally have invested in many KS projects and this one is one of the best in my opinion. You should try getting hold of some of these people, it’s like pulling teeth.
Mr. Maxwell, I suggest you reach out to the people at Sprizzi instead of continuously bashing them. I believe you will be pleasantly surprised. Thanks again Tom, many of us appreciate your candor.
@jgriffith , August 4, 2018
My name is Tom and all I will say is that I am a SPRiZZi backer. I have one question who is Johnny Maxwell? and why would you hide behind a fake name or why would you hide at all? To see all the comments and the time you have to spew your negativity makes me wonder how many other people you have done this to? I own my own business and I’ve had buddies of mine tell me about this site, though it did not keep anybody from investing do you understand that it could affect people and their families? This sir is nothing short of CYBER BULLYING plus you are wrong because I have seen their facility first hand and nobody seems to be hiding except for you Johnny and luckily it is only one site that is negative and of course its this one. It seems you are on the inside Mr. Maxwell having so much knowledge about the company but why a fake alias? and just know Johnny I am an investor so now you might affect my family with these lies. So will will wait Johnny Maxwell for your response though I do not expect one I do expect this comment to go up and remain on this page because I live in America and I know what my rights and freedoms are. Ok Johnny ?
@tom , August 1, 2018
Anybody heard anything about Coke or Pepsi? Teri any word yet? I would love to have their flavors in my fridge. Has anyone heard? Please advise, this is getting exciting.! Good bye grocery stores, hello Sprizzi. Their energy drink is fantastic, I wonder if we will get more if these go through? Fingers crossed folks.
@jgriffith , July 30, 2018
I had to come back and let Mr. Maxwell know (if you are a backer which you seem to be) that there were 3 updates on the Sprizzi Kickstarter sight. I was hoping you saw it? The Vice President even left his email address if you want to contact him?
I am very excited about the direction this is going, it has taken a while for sure but my guess Is they want to make it perfect,. Looks like they are playing with the big boys now! Just hoping everyone got the updates. Not sure if all KS sees this or not?
@Teri Ryan , July 26, 2018
I received a phone call from a friend today in reference to this site and am a bit confused with some of the postings (seemingly from the same individual)?
Apparently he isn’t receiving information about the day to day operations of Sprizzi? My question was if the poster had followed the updates and emailed the personnel as requested? I have numerous times and someone has always replied very quickly.
I happen to have my drink dispenser as well and let me tell you not only has it saved me money but the time it has saved is immeasurable to me. I have 3 children with a schedule that gets harrowing at times. My husband and I cherish this product more so than anything we remember.
As I understand there are some big things on the horizon that we look forward to following. I have spoken with numerous individuals that feel exactly as we do. Keep rocking Sprizzi!! There is always one in every bunch.
@Teri Ryan , July 25, 2018
I just wanted to throw my two cents to the previous poster who apparently has issues with Sprizzi.
I received my dispenser about 5 months ago and have been thrilled with how it works! The flavors are awesome and anytime I need anything the people at Sprizzi have been incredibly helpful.
We have a group of many that get together frequently to discuss our favorites and what we would love to see in the future. The coke and pepsi idea is incredible and I hope they have the flavor shots soon, we would all love that. I know in business, especially a new one that some take one supposed bad experience and stick to that as the gentleman below has but I can tell you from experience if you don’t have your unit you will be incredibly surprised when you do. They even called me to get my feedback on a future product. Mr. Maxwell, sorry if you had a bad experience but mine and many has been fantastic. Just my two cents!
@jgriffith , July 25, 2018
“We now have a logistics partner around the world with over 550+ warehouses preparing for a global launch. They are also offering us a CO2 fill and refill solution for all SPRiZZi customers including home and office delivery which is free refill for active customers and also free delivery for KS customers.”
Just kidding! That was from a Backers Only Update on July 24th, 2015. Lucky we saved those old e-mails to reminisce In that update, they still claim a 16 ounce pour at 99 cents. I believe we are up to $1 for a 12 ounce drink.
@Johnny Maxwell , July 22, 2018
It must be close to being official. And by that I mean ZERO care in the world for Kickstarter backers.
Yet another private update on their new Sprizzite newsletter, ZERO Sprizzi Machines released to Kickstarter backers , and ZERO response to honest backers in the comments section of Kickstarter.com
They are still hoping that more and more backers are tired of waiting so they don’t have to dole out their 3,000 plus Shotzzi’s to those who pretend to believe. No word on what is happening to their 2 cherished sites in California and North Carolina.
Zero Respect for backers. Heck, check out their social media. How is this positive marketing for the “Next big thing”?
@Johnny Maxwell , July 13, 2018
What a load of crap….
Seems like Sprizzi is playing the waiting game to get Kickstarter backer to ask for a refund (Although they could just as easily refund it to us and lock us out).
They do not give us any information at all. Come to find out they secretly have an online newsletter that was not ever shared with any backers.
I don’t recall any backers asking to be on the board of directors. All we wanted was information about how things are going. Being kept in the loop is gone now and we are left with nothing. I guess I can’t be shocked as they are on their last breath because they are attempting to have a threesome with Coca-Cola and Pepsi brands.
How about the immense flow of machines making their way to backers? What, all one of them was delivered in the past few months (Seems to be the norm.) I believe the last backer from the Los Angeles area has asked for a refund. Shame they could not even bother to dole one out to a close backer or even invite him/her to pick one up.
@Johnny Maxwell , June 20, 2018
They are making this way too easy. Another deadline missed and more copy/paste excuses.
What annoys me the most is this statement….. “Incidentally, we are already working on SPRiZZi 2.0 which is wi-fi enabled and will be exchanged free of charge to all SPRiZZi customers upon it’s release.”
So they are already working on yet ANOTHER revision before more units that have already supposedly been made have been sent out AND they said old units will be exchanged. You mean the 12 machines already out in the wild?
The big question is if it will be required to be linked to the internet in order to work (just like other proprietary machines out there.) And what exactly is the purpose of having wifi (other than preventing people from using their own syrup mixes?
I could go on, but we just saw that they deleted their latest update and replaced it with “Sorry”.
I can only assume that there was something in the ‘newsletter’ attached to the update they did not want the commoners to see. If the update in the comments section gets deleted, it will be posted here.
What’s next? Another fake hack attack to deflect and re-direct?
@Johnny Maxwell , March 22, 2018
I feel sorry for the people who are still waiting for this mythical beast. I just saw one backer comment that it has been nearly 5 YEARS since they asked for money. FIVE. And nothing to show for it. NOTHING!
I also noticed that a few others who were asking for refunds were living within a 2 hours drive away from where they are supposedly being made. Of course that is a wild guess as to the time required to travel, but they lived in the Southern area of California.
Kinda sad they could not even contact those few to invite them up for a Sprizzi Saturday to tour the massive facilities and pick up their fantasy machine. Is Sprizzi Saturday not a bad idea for a great publicity advertisement?
They proclaimed that March is the month all will be sent out, but I am wondering who will make the April 1st message first, me at Kickscammed.com or Mikey and his imaginary friends…..
@Johnny Maxwell , March 5, 2018
Here is a blast from the past….. December 18th 2015 (Update #51)-
“Hey everyone, I’d like to announce the first 3 beta unit customers to receive their units.”
They go on to list 5 (yes, FIVE) people. They can’t even add basic common core numbers.
I was looking for one last year, but they refused to update for over 6 months.
Let us not forget back in 2014…..
Just to reiterate, I will continue to communicate to all active backers through broadcast and one on one emails only. And it will be as frequently, if not more than through the public forum on Kickstarter.
This is not to keep you in the dark, but to give information to only those who need it at this stage of our growth.
Sorry if you feel this is a stall tactic, it is by no means that at all, and when you do receive your units, you will understand what its all about.
Have a good day!
Back then, there were non-stop tweets about some local college footballer than there were about Sprizzi the Drink. And ZERO communications outside of whatever they were talking about.
@Johnny Maxwell , December 19, 2017
Still nothing. Although the new news is they finally admitted to not having money at the moment.
And this beauty of a lie….
“I will be with you again shortly after the Labor Day holiday.”
I guess ‘shortly’ is dependent on who you are. If you are 4 years late on a project, shortly will be a few months…..
@Johnny Maxwell , September 19, 2017
And as mentioned earlier, nothing but Snake Oil.
The few that drank it, felt better knowing they paid out the wazoo for a miracle cure that could be had for less elsewhere.
Food For Thought!
@Johnny Maxwell , July 15, 2017
I need to bring attention to another observation with the new website they put out. Notice the price tag of the main Sprizzi unit? It is $997. Yes. $997.
This IS NOT, and HAS NEVER BEEN designed as a personal use item. It has been an idea for COMMERCIAL use only, whether it is a gym, office, or other business type setting. Even at those prices, it is easier to set up accounts with other businesses to deliver beverages for much less., especially at $1 for a 12 ounce drink.
Also look at their release of early products. According to at least one person on the campaign page, they have not sent them out to all Southern California locations. One would think they would do a “soft” release close by to gauge how they could accommodate a small sampling of people instead of nationwide at first. Start local and then grow. And as Fern stated, he was able to stop by and pick his/hers up in person? Why could others in the area not do so?
As much as I would love for this to be a global success, too many mistakes were already made, are being made, and will continue to be made.
If, 3 years from now this is a worldwide success, I will be the first to support a one of a kind Humble Pie flavor and enjoy it! Make it 4 years, that way the next gen of HS kids can graduate too!
@Johnny Maxwell , July 15, 2017
Some of my favorite quotes over the years (Other than all those “We are making the machines NOW!)
“The Drink Machine by SPRiZZi is very affordable, the flavors are below market prices. ”
“you would save 0.38 cents per drink”
“about 35 cents for a 16 ounce pour.”
“will deliver your favorite drinks for about half of what you would pay at your local grocer”
…..and many more
The website has been updated and the results are in…….
$1 for a 12 ounce drink! How is that even remotely close to being half the price at the store? Even at full MSRP, a 12-pack of cola is NOT even close to $24. And that 16 ounce pour? It is almost $1.35
This guy is a loon.
@Johnny Maxwell , June 16, 2017
It is great that people like Fern are laughing at a majority of the people who do not have their machines (and most likely NEVER will)
You must be a friend of the Sprizzi team (or One Man Show) to be able to pick yours up personally. Nobody else was EVER given that courtesy and never will. I have seen a few postings of backers in southern california wishing to do the same and no response.
A few months ago, a picture of a few dozen machines were on tables that looked to be almost complete, but only a handful have been shipped out
It also seems suspect that Mike did not make a big stink about a backer picking their machine up in person and even touting about the tour of the facilities.
Maybe next time you could be more supportive here instead of laughing at the backers who are still waiting.
@Johnny Maxwell , June 8, 2017
4 years ago this project started. 4 minutes ago, still nothing to create drinks with at home.
I think I can wait one more month before I easily make fun of this Snake Oil Salesman. We will post again on the anniversary of the ending of the campaign.
@Johnny Maxwell , May 1, 2017
Still no warning from the company about the malicious e-mail sent out. Sad.
On even better scam news, Sprizzi now claims that their drinks provide….
I can’t wait to see if they have a disclaimer about the FDA not backing those statements up. They posted a pic of that on twitter as part of a promotional poster. Good luck with that!
@Johnny Maxwell , February 20, 2017
Some KS members received a suspicious e-mail from Sprizzi and questioned its’ authenticity. Turns out that one member received a personal reply from Michael stating they had been hacked and to not click on the link.
SO WHY DOES HE NOT TELL EVERYONE?
What kind of person in charge is that sadistic? I am sure you folks will only need one guess.
Just a hunch, but I believe this inside job will cause a few delays in releasing the device. Just another excuse, I mean reason.
@Johnny Maxwell , January 12, 2017
And here we are 8 Days, 21 hours, and 45 minutes later and the timer is at ZERO!
Nothing! Nada! ZILCH!
But hey, the Aztecs are getting great use out of the Sprizzi Twit feed!
@Michael Knight , December 14, 2016
So with the new countdown timer they have on their website, backers have started posting the time remaining and it time stamps when they post it…. Here is the funny part….
12 Hours Ago – 8:21:45:00
I just checked out their website “12 hours later” and it states…. (drum roll please!)
So after 12 hours it adds on 41 seconds! Einstein is working with these scumbags!
I kept hitting refresh and it was the same BS as it was when I first checked it out.
Be like the rest of us and try to get a refund ASAP!!! THIS IS A CERTIFIED SCAM!
@Michael Knight , December 6, 2016
How can you take this money collection agency seriously when their Twitter feed has ZERO to do with the product and all about local college sports?
Along with that, they had a countdown timer on their website that stopped working at the ZERO hour and has been reset to give them another 2 weeks to roll out their new design. How many years does it take to make a website?
@Johnny Maxwell , December 3, 2016
Wow. No news since July 1st. Not that I was expecting anything from this scam.
Last words from Sprizzi…. “The manufacturing facility is already building units in Colton and we should see the first production units rolling off the line this month.”
Yep. I can almost taste it now.
@Johnny Maxwell , November 6, 2016
We were just confirmed that the Sprizzi is going to pour a 12 OUNCE drink instead of a 16 OUNCE drink. This may not seem like much, but here was the pricing SCHEME back a few years ago (we will limit it to cola drinks for now)….
Old scheme to make money was a 16 OUNCE pour for about 35 cents.
New scheme to make even more money is 76 cents per 12 ounce pour….
This was NEVER meant for the home user and was just announced for commercial use only by Mike in the latest update. 76 cents for a ‘can’ of cola is OK for commercial use as prices are gouged outside of grocery stores, but this campaign was initially aimed at home use where you can regularly find sales on cola’s for no more than 25 cents a can (12 Ounces)
Even though the initial Kickstarter backers were promised 12 free bullets every week until it was released, what is the real cost to them once those freebies run out?
@Johnny Maxwell , July 6, 2016
So now someone in the family died and the only one who does anything has to take a few months off.
And by me stating a few months, some new videos were promised LONG AGO and have yet to be posted. He NOW states that they will get posted once the mourning period has passed.
How about get it done when you promised?
Snake Oil, people. Snake Oil
@Johnny Maxwell , June 27, 2016
“Suffice it to say, 3 years from the end date of the KS campaign June 1st, 2016 we will begin shipping units to our KS backers ” – Update 54 on May 1st 2016
“We still have many things to tweak over in our newly expanded production facility both in production and testing. I’m afraid we will likely be blowing by our June 1st ship dates. ” – Comment from creators on May 26th, 2016
I lost my ‘shocked’ face 2 years ago
@Johnny Maxwell , May 26, 2016
Not that they have ever had a real final design for their website, but everything except for the main page states,
“Excuse Our Mess…
This Page Is Under Construction.
Check Back With Us Soon”
@Johnny Maxwell , April 18, 2016
And here is an update from April 9th, 2015 –
“We will definitely be shipping late spring early summer as final tooling is still being tweaked for much of our injected parts, and the bullet filling machines are being finalized and sent around the world for filling in each global region.”
Maybe they will copy/paste that into an update next week….
@Johnny Maxwell , March 27, 2016
Michael Breault on January 6 – “We’re projecting retail products to ship late February to early March.”
Michael Breault on January 24 – “Consumer units may not be available til our national infrastructure is in place late 2016.”
Nothing new. News of delays is the norm over there. They claim to have sent out a few beta test units and will send out more in the coming year(?)
I can see this as lasting until Fall of this year before they call it quits.
@Rodney Munsch , January 27, 2016
I just found out that this machine dispenses Snake Oil and is relatively expensive.
@Rodney Munsch , November 21, 2015
Upper Street Marketing, Inc. Enters into Binding Agreement to Acquire Sprizzi Personal Beverage System
Don’t know if this is good or bad.
Then, the creator stated, “This is a reverse merger deal whereas Sprizzi now owns 84% of Upper Street Marketing. I will be the new CEO and Sprizzi Drink Co will become Sprizzi Global, Inc. this allows us to raise capital to expand globally. A very exciting venture.”
@Rodney Munsch , November 7, 2015
The delays on Betas are coming from a single part on the newly enhanced flash chiller. Several alpha units have been built and for the most part it appears all the minor tooling fixes have been completed.
As I’ve already proven, predicting delay lengths aren’t my specialty, but building a decent beverage dispenser may be. It far exceeds the functionality of the other guys dispenser. Anyways, hang in there, the beta units are coming soon and the KS units will be the first production units sent out.
@Rodney Munsch , October 23, 2015
And here we go again…..
“the SPRiZZi DRiNK MACHiNE will not be available for sale to U.S. residents until March 21st, 2016 and will have a new MSRP of $499.00”
Even though KS backers can opt into a beta unit early, this is going on an on. They even met with PepsiCo and that cannot bode well for consumers either.
@Johnny Maxwell , September 10, 2015
Still waiting, for over two years. I actually wrote the guy, and got some lame response about how he couldn’t give out too much detail, because his lawyers told him not to reveal things his competitors could steal.
@winetaster99 , June 23, 2015
This scam is funny. Every time they put out an expected ship date, it turns out to be the date for their next excuse and delayed shipping date.
Recently they stated shipping would be complete by June, then early Summer, now it is middle to late Summer.
They promised a video of the new operational machine long ago, but it never materialized.
@Johnny Maxwell , June 12, 2015
Could be wrong, but backers were promised delivery this month and I smell another delay.
